A level & IB

A level Chemistry tutoring, online

One-to-one lessons that follow your exam board's specification, with plenty of past-paper practice and clear explanations of the topics students find hardest.

What we cover

Lessons cover the full specification for AQA, OCR A, OCR B (Salters) and Edexcel, as well as IB Chemistry. We focus on the areas where marks are most often lost.

  • Physical chemistry: moles, energetics, kinetics, equilibria and electrochemistry
  • Inorganic chemistry: periodicity, group 2, halogens and transition metals
  • Organic chemistry: mechanisms, synthesis routes and spectroscopy
  • Required practicals and the practical endorsement
  • Calculation questions and longer written answers

How lessons work

We start by looking at recent test results or a short diagnostic to find gaps. Each lesson then mixes explanation with exam-style questions, and you leave with practice to do before the next session.

Who teaches

Lessons are taught by Adam, a 5th-year dental student at King's College London, who took A level Chemistry and uses it every day in a science-heavy degree.

Questions families ask

Which exam boards do you cover?

AQA, OCR A, OCR B (Salters), Edexcel and IB Chemistry. Tell us your board when you book and lessons will follow it.

Can you help with organic mechanisms?

Yes. Mechanisms are one of the most common requests. We break them into a few repeating patterns so they are easier to learn and apply.

Do you help students applying for medicine or dentistry?

Yes. Many A level Chemistry students are also applying to medicine or dentistry, and we can support both the exams and the application.
